Inaction on Independence

Inaction is the main frustration with Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP in general. For a party which was created with the goal of attaining independence for Scotland as a founding principle the lack of progress has been bewildering. Despite serial calamities, a slew of scandals stemming from corruption in the ruling Conservative Party the SNP has been rolling out excuse after excuse not to take any action on moving the country to independence - covid, recovery from covid, war in Ukraine, etc., etc.

Despite having many years to prepare, the obvious big ticket items on the likes of currency, natural resources, economic policy, etc. remain unaddressed. As a result the polls show basically a 50/50 split between Yes and No. Which is yet another excuse for doing nothing.
