ISP
The Independence for Scotland Party was founded in 2020, in large part to widen support for independence, particularly for those who found they could no longer support the SNP because of their support for self-identification of gender which would lead to the elimination of women's rights and recognition of women as a protected group as a result of violence towards them by men. The current leader is co-founder Colette Walker. They recently took the bold and noble move to stand down in the elections for the Scottish parliament in Holyrood to allow the newly formed Alba Party a clear shot at winning regional seats from Unionist parties. The ISP has no plans to continue and will be contesting all elections after May 6th 2021.
