NatureScot

NatureScot given it's controversial positions over culling ravens around Strathbraan just to see what happens and other "landowner-friendly" issues no longer seems to be an agency which is intended to protect wildlife and the environment. Instead it seems to be suffering either from either a severe case of having lost it's way or regulatory capture where the landowners, gamekeepers and other commercial interests have taken over. There can never be any improvement on the shameful state of raptor persecution, the industrialisation of grouse shooting to the detriment of everything else and other environmental issues when the agency that is supposed to tackle these problems is crippled by inaction.

Another sign that micro-management by the government will ensure that "controversial" topics, i.e. organised crime in our countryside, will never be allowed to be an issue and spoil their "progressive" image while at the same time doing absolutely nothing. All the people rejected for board positions of NatureScot have a reputation for getting things done. Now, why would any government not want that?
