Immigration
Immigration is a corner-stone of a multi-cultural society. Nobody can deny that immigrants from Poland, Pakistan, Italy and all corners of the globe have made massive contributions to Scotland. As a kid, growing up in northern Scotland I was drinking espresso in the Italian-run café decades before fancy coffee became "a thing". The problem, if it can be described as such, arises when immigration is used either to fuel low-wage jobs or solve the demographic issue with regards to benefits such as social security. Then immigration is done for the benefit of the government and business, not for the people and least of all the immigrants themselves. Scotland needs people with ideas and energy. The New Scots can come from wherever, but they're in a better position to contribute when they're made welcome, paid well and supported, not taken advantage of. It also helps if western governments are not busy razing their countries to the ground.
